The NPP Parliamentary Candidate for the Asuogyaman Constituency in the Eastern Region, Pius Enam Hadzide, has declared himself the “Messiah” to deliver his constituents from what he describes as the NDC’s slavery.

According to him, the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) particularly the current Member of Parliament (MP) Thomas Ampem Nyarko has failed and disappointed the people in the area.

Speaking to Angel News at the commissioning of the Senchi Methodist AstroTurf in Senchi, Mr. Hadzide stated that the MP’s failure of the people can be compared to his inability to account for a single completed project during his two terms, despite receiving the MP’s Common Fund, NHIS funds, and others.

He argued that the incumbent MP lacks love for his constituents, contrasting his performance with former NPP MP Kofi Osei Ameyaw, who, during his tenure, implemented impactful projects such as constructing market sheds for market women at Atimpoku.

The MP hopefuls highlighted some projects he has already undertaken in the constituency, even though he is yet to become its MP.

On his part, former NPP MP of Asuogyaman Constituency – Kofi Osei Ameyaw expressed his unwavering support for Pius Enam Hadzide, adding that he is the right man to salvage the people from the endless suffering under the NDC leadership.

He believes Hadzide can reclaim the seat for the NPP and continue implementing developmental projects in the Asuogyaman Constituency.
