Mahama’s behaviour is unlike a former president – Odike

Akwasi Addai Odike has expressed disappointment over the demeanor of the 2024 presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama.

According to Odike, Mr. Mahama’s conduct in his quest for reelection is unbefitting of a former president

Speaking on the Angel Morning Show, the leader of the Union Government chastised Mr. Mahama for engaging in public ridicule and labeled it as unbecoming of someone who has previously held the highest office.

Odike references Mahama’s public statement and campaign promises, particularly those concerning poultry farming, as an example of unseriousness.

“You see, let us face the facts here. John Mahama is behaving as if he has never been a president before,” he told Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah.

He stated further that the behavior of the NDC leader has emboldened his competitor, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), to criticize him.

“Mahama is the reason why Dr Bawumia has gained the willpower and nerves to speak up. As a former president, whenever he gets the opportunity to speak, he ends up talking about sanitary pads and animals,” Odike remarked.
