Afia’s life was tragically cut short when she was struck by a speeding trotro while crossing a road near the university.
The heartbreaking incident, captured on CCTV footage, has sparked widespread outrage and calls for stricter traffic regulations. Afia was a beloved member of the KNUST community, known for her intelligence, kindness, and infectious laughter. Her sudden death has left a void that can never be filled.

“Let us honor Afia’s memory by demanding safer streets and holding reckless drivers accountable,” some of the students said in an interview.
