Businessman and political commentator, Akwasi Addai Odike, has criticized the next National Democratic Congress (NDC) government, accusing them of harboring false hopes and unrealistic expectations.
He argued that the NDC appears disconnected from the realities of the problems faced by Ghanaians, the very issues they were elected to address.
Mr. Addai, speaking on the Angel Morning Show on Monday, December 16, 2024, claimed that utterances of NDC members, even before assuming office on January 7, 2025, reflect this disconnect.
According to him, this mindset will likely lead the NDC to disappointment, as they are “living in a fool’s paradise.”
“For the NDC members who are lacing their boots to score political points by repeating the mistakes of the NPP government, I suggest you reconsider. It won’t help you while in power.
If you try, you won’t last three months in power. We will come after you. So, you better put an end to the ongoing looting you are engaging in,” he warned.
Odike further emphasized that the NDC’s mindset indicates they have not learned from their past mistakes.
“This shows that you [NDC] haven’t changed at all, but let me tell you, some of us won’t give you room to operate,” he added.
He reiterated, “If you insist on scoring political points, then you are living in a fool’s paradise.”
