Kwame Asamoah, popularly known as Kwame Ketewa, has been shot dead by an unknown individual while returning from his farm in Akyem Dokyi-Tetekasom, near Akyem Takyiman in the Kwaebibirem Municipality of the Eastern Region.

According to Angel News reporter, Van Brown, Kwame Ketewa was 25 years old until he met his untimely death.

Information gathered indicates that the murdered farmer left home on Monday, January 3, 2025 morning to collect palm fruits for his father but did not returned. However, his lifeless body was found dead in a pool of blood following a search for his whereabout.

Esther Adumea, an eyewitness, recounted the incident to the reporter that while preparing to carry their farm produce home, they heard a gunshot in the bush. Fearing for their safety, they decided to wait for a while before returning home.

“I met him when he was going to carry his father’s palm fruit. His name is Kwame Ketewa. When we were coming back again, we didn’t meet him, but we met his father.

“When we were packing our bananas, we heard gunshots, and at that moment we were also afraid, so we didn’t go there right away. We tried to pack our foodstuffs, and as we were coming along the road, we saw him lying in a pool of blood,” the eyewitness recounted.

The deceased’s body has been deposited at the Kade Government Hospital for preservation and autopsy.
