A member of the National Communication Team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Ama Daaku, has stated that some Parliamentarians, especially National Democratic Congress (NDC) behave like kindergarten and nursery pupils in parliament.

Speaking on the Angel Morning Show (AMS), Tuesday, February 5, 2025, Ama Daaku asserted that some parliamentarians in the country behave just like children in school.

However, she does not understand why leaders exhibit such behaviour in Ghana’s parliament.

“This is not the first time something like this has happened in parliament, especially as they near the end of their tenure. They have shown us that when it gets to a certain point, they do what they want to do, which is total misbehaviour.

“They tell me I like to insult, and I told them last time that they are behaving like kindergarten and nursery pupils,” she stated.

She condemned the chaos that occurred during the vetting process as very poor behaviour on their part and expressed her disappointment such incidents happen in parliament.

According to her, she does not blame anyone but believes that if they cannot settle their disputes, they resort to fighting.

Ama Daaku pointed out that she does not understand why they should behave this way, especially since they were elected to represent their constituents in parliament.

She further added that the behaviour of the MPs has discouraged many Ghanaians who have an interest in contesting for a seat in parliament.
