Police have arrested at least 20 students from Salaga Senior High School in the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region, after a violent clash that left one person injured.
The free-for-all-fight that led to the chaos on campus, led to some students sustaining varied injury.
Police, following its intervention retrieved a locally manufactured pistol and one round of ammunition.
An official of the School who condemned the incident stated that investigations were ongoing to ascertain the cause of the violent incident.
“We have handed them over to the police and hope they are thoroughly screened. Those found responsible should face the full consequences of the law. We are deeply disappointed by the actions of the students,” he said quoted by 3News.
The Police after taking statements from the suspects have granted bail to 17 while three remain in custody.
