The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has named two Ghanaian referees, Bless Yao Selorm and Rejoice Addokwei, among the latest batch of FIFA-accredited officials selected for specialized training.

The intensive program will be held from February 23 to February 27 in Egypt and is designed to enhance the referees’ skills for officiating CAF competitions.

According to a statement, the training will cover advanced officiating techniques, updates on the laws of the game, and practical sessions aimed at refining the participants’ abilities on the field.

“This recognition highlights Ghana’s growing presence in international refereeing and presents a significant opportunity for both officials to officiate in top CAF tournaments, including the CAF Champions League, Confederation Cup, and national team competitions,” the statement read.

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) extended its congratulations to Selorm and Addokwei, expressing confidence in their ability to excel at the training and represent the country proudly.

“We expect both referees to return better equipped to handle high-profile matches, further strengthening officiating standards in both local and international competitions,” the GFA added.

The duo’s participation showcases Ghana’s commitment to developing world-class refereeing talent for the continent’s top football events.
