Businessman and political commentator Akwasi Addai Odike has cautioned President John Dramani Mahama, stating that he cannot reset Ghana using only members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Speaking on the Angel Morning Show on Monday, February 17, 2025, Odike stressed that political power involves the allocation of people, resources, and money. He urged the president to adopt an inclusive governance approach rather than appointing only NDC members.

“When you’re resetting Ghana, John Mahama, never think you can do it with only NDC members. You have to bring the country together as one before you can achieve that” He said.

He advised the president to focus on job creation and national development rather than dismissing people from their positions due to political differences. He cautioned against repeating the actions of previous administrations, particularly the governing style of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, which he believes contributed to Ghana’s current challenges.

Odike urged Mahama to critically assess the root causes of Ghana’s struggles and implement sustainable solutions. He stressed that instead of engaging in political equalization, the president should concentrate on fulfilling his promises and driving national progress.

His remarks point to growing concerns about the need for a more unified and development-driven approach to governance to steer Ghana in the right direction.
