The legislator for Akuapem South Constituency in the Eastern Region, Lawrencia Adwoa Dziwornu, says the inclusion of women in decision-making should be paramount for the country.

According to her, as Ghanaians advocate for gender equality, involving women in decision-making is necessary to foster forward-thinking policies.

Madam Dziwornu made this observation in her relayed message to Ghanaian women and her constituents on the occasion of the 2025 International Women’s Day celebration on the theme “Accelerate Action.”

She also added that this cause can be achieved only through women’s empowerment by ‘economically, promoting equal leadership, investing in girls’ education and protecting women’s rights.’

She explained, “Empower women economically, by ensuring access to resources, fair wages, and entrepreneurial opportunities, we can uplift entire communities.

Promote Equal Leadership Opportunities: Women must be represented at decision-making tables to foster inclusive and forward-thinking policies.”

The MP noted that investing in girls’ education is a way to prioritize their learning, paving the way for a more equitable future.
