President John Dramani Mahama has noticed that gender equality in the country will not happen by chance but requires action and policies that prioritise women’s inclusion.
The President, in a tribute to women marking the International Women’s Day, 2025, stated that Ghanaians must accelerate action towards achieving the gender parity.
He stated while highlighting the year’s theme for the occasion, “AccelerateAction,” and admitted the necessity for urgent measures.
“Ghana has made some significant strides, particularly in electing its first female Vice President. Let’s build on this momentum.
We must all prioritise empowering and uplifting women in every sphere from education and business to politics and leadership,” President Mahama added.
He further calls for togetherness in the quest to build an enabling environment where women can reach their full potential in the country.
“Let’s work together to create a Ghana where every woman has the opportunity to reach her full potential.”
