Akwasi Addai Odike, the leader of the Union Government, has expressed his expectations from President John Mahama’s maiden Budget schedule for Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
He cited the social contract formed between the president and Ghanaians during his campaign.
According to Odike, President Mahama made numerous promises to Ghanaians, which led to a contractual agreement between the two parties.
“What I am expecting is that President Mahama said a lot of things that made Ghanaians have some contracts with him, which is the social contract,” he stated.
Odike said with Ghanaians massive endorsement of the NDC during the 2024 elections it is due the president to deliver on his promises, particularly in the upcoming budget.
“Despite speeches from Dr. Bawumia, Allan Kyeremanteng, Cheddar, and others, Ghanaians chose to support President Mahama. Now, it’s time to see if his promises align with the budget,” he asserted.
