The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) has reacted to the compromise of President John Dramani Mahama’s X (formerly Twitter) account.
According to the CSA, the account hacking was reported on Monday, March 17, 2025, and has been used to promote a cryptocurrency called “Solana Africa.”
In a statement issued by the CSA and dated Tuesday, March 18, the authority assured the public that it is working with X’s management to address the matter urgently.
“We understand the public concern this incident has generated and are actively addressing the situation.
The Authority is working closely with X and other relevant stakeholders to address this incident and to prevent future occurrences,” the statement said.
The CSA assured the public that further updates will be provided as investigations progresses.
