Gospel musician, Mama Esther, has shared her approach to creating music, with no one writing lyrics for her.
In an interview with DJ Ohemaa Woyeje on ‘Y’aduma Nie’ on Angel FM on Tuesday, March,18, 2025, she disclosed that she doesn’t write down lyrics for her songs, instead rely on divine inspiration.
Mama Esther explained that her creative process of singing often begins whenever she starts to sing out melodies and lyrics while going about her daily activities at home.
According to her, she arrives at the recording studio, and through devine interventions, received additional lyrics to add or modify existing ones.
“I don’t write lyrics for my music. What God gives me is what I sing directly, and no one writes lyrics for me, and no one gives me songs to sing, my producers can testify to this,” she said.
“I trust that the lyrics and melodies I receive are from God, and that’s what I share with the world through my music,” she emphasized.
