‘Singathon’ fame Afua Asantewaa is ‘ungrateful and liar’ – NPP’s Salam Mustapha

The National Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mustapha Salam, has slammed Ghanaian female who attempted the 2024 Sing-a-thon, Afua Asantewaa, for her ungrateful gesture exhibited towards former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

Mr. Salam described the latter who doubles as a model as dishonest for claiming that the former Vice President only donated sore-throat medicine during her sing-a-thon attempt in Accra.

He, however, noted that, Mrs. Asantewaa and her team received significant support from Dr. Bawumia including the donation of a huge sum of money, food, water, and soft drinks as well as footing her vacation at Senchi in the Eastern Region after the event.

“This lady is not being truthful and quite ungrateful. In her first Sing-a-thon attempt here in Accra, aside Dr. Bawumia visiting her, which i played a role with Sammi Awuku and Socrates, the Vice President donated 20,000 cash, packs of papaye food, bottled water and soft drinks to her team. I personally did the donation on behalf of Dr. Bawumia to her husband and father.

Furthermore, after the event, she and her family came to thank the vice president and he further paid for a vacation for her at senchi, so, why the falsehood?” he questioned.

Mr. Salam anticipated that Afua Asantewaa do not repeat similar attitude in the future because Ghanains support of her challenege was to make the country proud.
