The Madina District Court has remanded into custody, Daniel Owusu Koranteng, a suspect in the murder of investigative journalist, Ahmed Hussein Suale, a member of the Tiger Eye PI at his residence.

The prosecutor, Superintendent Sylvester Asare, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, prayed the court to remand the accused into police custody for them to continue their investigations.

Narrating the facts of the case to the court, Chief Superintendent Asare said the Petitioner, Ibrahim Kamiru Tahidu, is a relative of the deceased while the accused, Daniel Owusu Koranteng alias Amakye, is the Managing Director of ISPY Company.

Both Ahmed Suale and the accused were employees of Tiger Eye PI, led by Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

The accused had multiple interactions with the deceased and his family before his death.

Tensions escalated in June 2018 when former Assin Central Parliamentarian, Kennedy Agyapong broadcast images of Ahmed Suale on Net2 TV, calling for retribution against the investigative journalist.

Suale later identified the accused as the person who provided Mr Agyapong with his photographs.
