Member of Parliament for Akuapem South Constituency in the Eastern Region, Lawrencia Adwoa Dwiwornu, has urged the Black Stars to make Ghanaians proud in their game against Chad, scheduled for March 21, 2025.

The MP, a football enthusiast, expressed confidence in the Black Stars, stating that she believes they will restore hope among the general public.

Ghana will host Chad at the Accra Sports Stadium in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers at 19:00 GMT.

Mrs. Dwiwornu, in her message to the team, entreated them to put up a good display to ensure they triumph over their opponents.

“I believe in them so much because I have been following them for the longest of time – I followed them to South Africa… I love football so much”

“I know what football brings to all of us here in Ghana, so they should make us proud,” she urged”

The MP expressed confidence in the team, emphasizing that teamwork strengthens Ghana’s chances of securing a spot in the biggest football tournament.

“They should work with teamwork because that is what will really give us the needed points that we need to be able to advance at the very next stage,” says Madam Dwiwornu.

She said this in an interview during the Parliamentary Committee on Youth and Sports’ working visit to Black Stars ahead of the match.
