Ghana Library and Dr. Amoakohene explore cooperation to improve infrastructure in Ashanti Region

The Municipal Education Director of Lower Manya in the Eastern Region, Samuel Kwesi Tettey, has commended American rapper, Jah Rule, for constructing a six-unit classroom block to eliminate the school shift system at Nuaso Anglican Basic School.

During an interview with Angel News at the commissioning of the new facility, Mr. Tettey revealed that, despite the government’s cancellation of the shift system in Ghana, Nuaso Anglican Basic School had continued to operate under this model due to significant infrastructure challenges.

Mr. Tetteh explained that the shift system contributed to rampant unpunctuality and dishonesty among students, negatively impacting their academic performance.

“The truth is, the challenges we were facing stemmed from the shift system, where some students attended in the afternoon while others went in the morning. God has been so good; they have built this beautiful classroom for us, and starting tomorrow, our children will begin to use it and continue their studies.

“The shift system brought many challenges for both parents and teachers, as some students claimed they were in the afternoon shift merely to skip class.

“This is not just a building that Jah Rule has constructed for us; he has provided our children with something to rely on. As Nelson Mandela said, education can empower individuals to change their futures,” he stated.
