Security Consultant, Richard Kumadoe, has educated the general public on the powers of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB), particularly regarding the arrest of offenders.
According to the renowned security expert, the NIB has no boundaries in carrying out its core mandate.
He explained that, apart from inviting individuals during investigations, arrest is the next alternative in their operational mechanism.
Mr. Kumadoe gave insight into the operations of the NIB following their foiled attempt to arrest Assin South MP, John Ntim Fordjour, at his residence in Spintex, Accra.
The NIB’s action is linked to the MP’s allegations about a suspicious flight carrying drugs that landed at the airport, which has sparked national discussion on the subject.
The Minority Caucus, along with some members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), have condemned the NIB’s move, describing it as increasingly intimidating toward political opponents.
In light of these events, the Security Consultant and Analyst shared a different view, noting that the NIB is mandated to proceed with arrest if efforts to persuade individuals to honor invitations fail.
He further stated that only the second coming of Christ could interrupt or prevent the NIB from making an arrest.
“The NIB will either invite you or get you arrested. Once the 2nd option is chosen, nothing stops the execution unless Chris Jesus descends,” Richard Kumadoe stated in a notice.
