The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has taken disciplinary action against one of its Deputy Directors of Communications, Ernest Owusu Bempah, for allegedly breaching party directives regarding media conduct.
In a statement released on Monday April 22, 2025, and signed by the General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, Mr. Bempah is accused of making several comments on social media that are suspected to have caused disaffection within the party.
These actions, according to the party, go against previously issued directives which barred members from engaging in public discussions that could fuel internal division.
The statement references directive NPP/HO/PR/2025/03/DAM, which cautioned party members against making statements in the media that could undermine unity within the party.
As a result, he has been referred to the National Disciplinary Committee of the party for further investigation and the necessary actions.
