An Accra High Court has granted GH¢400,000 bail to the former Secretary Officer of the Inter Ministerial Committee on illegal mining (IMCIM), Charles Onuawonto Bissue, and Andy Thomas Owusu, with two sureties – one of whom to be justified with land property within Accra.

Charles Bissue and Owusu are also to report to the OSP office and deposit their passport to the court registry as part of the bail conditions.

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) charged former Secretary of the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM), Charles Bissue, and one Andy Thomas Owusu with 15 counts of corruption-related offences.

The court presided over by Justice Comfort Tasiame asked the lawyers of the Office of the Special Prosecutor to file all disclosures before the May 29, 2025.

However, both accused persons pleaded not guilty to the charges. The case has been adjourned to May 29.
