Ghanaian musician Kofi Kinaata has received the prestigious Youth in Entertainment Award from His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, at the 2025 Millennium Excellence Awards.
The ceremony took place at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, recognizing Kinaata’s exceptional contributions to Ghanaian music and his impact on societal change.
Kinata, known for his thought-provoking lyrics and socially conscious music, has become a prominent voice for the people. His compositions often address pressing national issues, inspiring positive change and earning him in high esteem.
The Asantehene had previously praised Kinaata’s artistry, notably citing his hit song “Susuka” as a composition “full of wisdom” during the 2024 Ghana Bar Association General Conference.

“I am humbled and honored to receive the highest honor award (youth entertainment) at 2025 Millennium Excellence Awards.
“My heart filled with gratitude goes to his majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu and distinguished executive board for this prestigious recognition,” he said.
