Two deceased prominent members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), were on the verge of being appointed the country’s Ambassadors to foreign countries.

The deceased stalwarts are Ambassador Sam Pee Yalley, former Ghana High Commissioner to India, and Joseph Ade-Coker, former Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the NDC.Sam Pee Yalley and Joseph Ade-Coker

According to Deputy National Communications Officer of the government party, the late Pee Yalley was to be named Ghana’s High Commissioner to Canada before his sudden on April 6, 2025.

Likewise, Chairman Ade-Coker was to be named Ghana’s Ambassador to Belarus before they received of his passing over the weekend on May 31, Mr Gunn added.

Godwin Ako Gunn said the NDC has been deeply affected by the news and has paid glowing tributes to the two late stalwarts.

In his tribute to the late Chairman Ade-Coker, Mr. Ako Gunn, who regularly appeared alongside both men as communicators on Angel TV/FM expressed deep sorrow, describing the formers’ deaths as sad.
