MTN FA Cup champions, Kumasi Asante Kotoko, have honored the club’s life patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, with the 2024/25 trophy following their triumph in the competition.

The Porcupine Warriors clinched the trophy – which became their 10th FA Cup title after a 2-1 win over lower-tier side Golden Kick FC.

Kwame Opoku’s brace at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium was enough for the Porcupine Warriors to complete their season with a silver ware

On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, they paid a courtesy call on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace with the presentation of the trophy won by the club.

Asante Kotoko’s entourage was led by Nana Apinkrah Akwasi Awuah, Chairman of the Interim Management Committee (IMC), alongside Kwesi Appiah and Technical Director Malik Jabir.

The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II applauded the team for their stellar FA Cup triumph to adding to their trophy cabinet another title.

As the club booked a ticket to represent Ghana in the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup campaign, he charged the team to aim high.
