The Member of Parliament (MP) for Nkwanta South, Dr. Geoffrey Kini, has joined forces with the Oti Regional National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) to provide much-needed relief to communities affected by recent clashes.

Their joint initiative has resulted in the donation of 500 bags of rice and various essential items, aimed at alleviating the immediate challenges faced by residents.

Many individuals are currently unable to access their farms, leaving them struggling to secure food for their families.

In an interview with the media, Dr. Geoffrey Kini firmly addressed the situation, rejecting claims that the change in government contributed to the disturbances.

He urged the public to disregard such allegations, emphasising their falsehood.

Furthermore, he appealed to all tribal groups to embrace peace, lamenting the significant setbacks the conflict has inflicted on the development of the Nkwanta South Municipality.

He called for unity and reconciliation, advocating for a collective effort to foster progress in the Oti Region and Nkwanta South.

He echoed the call for peace, urging the affected tribes to prioritise the restoration of harmony and development in Nkwanta South.

Mr. Antwi emphasised the critical importance of cooperation and understanding in creating a better future for the community.
