The Presidency hosted a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at Jubilee House’s Ceremonial Gardens to honour the eight individuals who perished in a military helicopter crash the previous day in the Adansi Akrofuom District of the Ashanti Region.Helicopter crash victims

Held on Thursday, August 7, 2025, the event marked, the first day of a three-day national mourning period declared by the government in remembrance of the victims, among whom were two senior ministers, Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah and Environment Minister Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed.Helicopter crash victims

Chief of Staff Julius Debrah, NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia, members of the Council of State, bereaved families, friends, government representatives, security personnel, and members of the public gathered for the wreaths laying amid tribute to the deceased.
