The Movement for Change has extended its deepest condolences to His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu Ababio I, the Royal Family, and the people of Asanteman on the passing of the Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom I.

The late Asantehemaa was not merely a mother to Asanteman; she was a guiding light for the entire nation. Her reign was characterised by wisdom, dignity, and an unwavering dedication to unity, peace, and the preservation of cherished traditions.

According to a statement signed by Solomon Owusu, Spokesperson for the Movement for Change, through her counsel and steadfast leadership, she strengthened the bonds of kinship and harmony both within the Kingdom and across Ghana.

However, her transition to the ancestral realm represents a monumental loss, not only for Asanteman but for all Ghanaians.

“The Movement for Change mourns with you in this time of great sorrow and calls for calm, reflection, and the sustaining grace of the Almighty upon our land, especially in the midst of the other tragic circumstances that have recently befallen our nation,” it stated.
