The Training Centre of the Electricity Company of Ghana has been awarded an exemplary performer in technical capacity building in public sector for the second time in a row.

This was at the 5th National Governance and Business Leadership Awards 2025, held in Accra on Friday, August 29.

The ECG Training Centre is a premier institution for the development of technical and professional skills in the power sector of Ghana.

Speaking about the award, the Director of the ECG Training Center, Ing. Godfred Mensah stated that he is overjoyed that the contribution of the Center has been recognised, adding that “the Center delivers expert-led programs in power system planning and design, protection, control, network operations and network equipment maintenance”.

Ing. Mensah added that the Center has “facilities including a power substatstion, demonstration field and advanced testing labs for hands-on learning to better serve those who come for training”. He also stated that “tailor-made programs are offered on demand”.

Ing. Mensah also thanked the organizers of the awards program for the recognition of the Center as a place that supports with capacity building for professionals in the power sector.
