The leadership of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) has rendered an unqualified apology to the Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, following recent media attacks on his person.
The delegation met with the Minister on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, and also discussed issues aimed at strengthening collaboration between nurses and the government.

According to the Ministry, the Minister graciously accepted the apology and urged the Association to prioritise dialogue and constructive engagement with the government.
“He reiterated his commitment to fostering a strong partnership with healthcare professionals to improve healthcare delivery nationwide,” the statement indictated.
The GRNMA delegation included former President Alice Darkoa Asare-Allotey, Immediate Past President Dr. Krobea Asante, Current President Perpetual Ofori-Ampofo, and General Secretary Dr. David Tenkorang-Twum.
