Ghana’s National Women’s Football team, the Black Queens are set to face the reigning European champions, England in a high-profile international friendly match.
The match is scheduled for December 2, 2025, at the St. Mary’s Stadium in Southampton.
Black Queens gresh off their bronze medal triumph at the 2024 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (WAFCON), will use this clash as a critical test of their progress ahead of subsequent tournaments.
The match which form part of England’s “Homecoming Series,” will mark the first-ever senior-level meeting between Ghana and England.
The Ghana Football Association in a public notice announced that “This is a golden opportunity to test our strength as we build towards the next WAFCON.”
England, currently one of the world’s top-ranked teams, will provide a stern challenge for the Queens, whose recent resurgence has reignited hopes of reclaiming their place among Africa’s elite.
