This marks the fifth time the West African country will appear on the world stage (2006, 2010, 2014, 2022, and 2026).

In a heartfelt message, FIFA boss Gianni Infantino praised the team’s dedication, passion, and commitment to representing Ghana on the world’s biggest stage.

“Congratulations to the Black Stars on reaching the FIFA World Cup for the 5th time in history. Your fans will bring colour, style, and passion to the greatest FIFA World Cup ever in 2026,” he expressed in a video.

Mr. Infantino added that the footballing world hopes to see a Ghana team whose performance will reflect and echo that of the Stephen Appiah-led 2010 squad.
