Ghanaian singer, Wendy Shay, has finally addressed the ongoing discussions on social media concerning her close relationship with Tracy Shay and Korkor.
According to some online commenters, some people feel the two girls are too young to be constantly seen with her or featured in her music videos and hanging out with her often.
However, she clarified that her interactions with them do not interfere with their education.
During an interview on Hitz FM on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, Wendy Shay cleared the air stating: “I learnt really hard not to do a lot of negativity. Are they here with me? No, they are at school so whenever you see me with them it’s because they are not in school or don’t have school or are on vacations I am very intentional about that,” she pointed out.
She further explained that she has been deliberate about giving Tracy space to focus on her academics.
“Right now for sometime even though I check up on Tracy I try not to bombard her with messages, ‘let’s go here, let’s go there’ because I want her to focus on her school. She told me she misses me it’s been a while she heard from me…. It’s intentional because I want her to focus. So I am very intentional about how I go out with my girls besides I am paying her school fees and I don’t want her to fail, she has to come out with good grades I am very particular about that,” she said.
Speaking about Korkor, Wendy Shay noted that her decision to support her stems from compassion rather than obligation.
“And with Korkor it wasn’t a pledge but then of course I mean I can’t watch her…. She comes from a very challenging background so I have to help her,” she explained.
