The Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, James Gyakye Quayson (MP), held a bilateral meeting with First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Special Envoy of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Aselin Isaev on the margins of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Ministerial Meeting which took place in Kampala, Uganda.

The meeting was a follow-up to an earlier engagement between the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and Mr. Jeenbek Kulubaev at sidelines of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, USA.

During discussions, he called for stronger and dynamic bilateral relations between Ghana and the Kyrgyz Republic. He underscored the importance of deepening cooperation between the two countries to promote shared development goals and advance mutual interests within the framework of South-South cooperation.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen and deepen bilateral relations and exchange views on potential areas of collaboration, including trade and investment, education, culture, and multilateral engagement.

Mr. Gyakye Quayson and Mr. Aselin Isaev highlighted the importance of continued dialogue and partnership in advancing shared values of peace, mutual respect, and sustainable development.

The meeting concluded with a renewed pledge to build upon the positive momentum generated by previous high-level engagements and to work towards the establishment of practical frameworks that will bolster cooperation between the two nations.
