Sanford Health Clinic, Madina, has commissioned a mammogram machine to promote early detection and improve outcomes in the fight against breast cancer.

This marks the first-ever mammogram service in La Nkwantanang-Madina in the Ga East Municipality of Accra.

The launch was graced by the Ag. Director-General of the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr. Samuel Kaba Akoriyea, alongside other dignitaries.

Dr. Akoriyea commended Sanford Health Ghana for strengthening the nation’s health system through innovation and investment.

He encouraged the facility to sustain the initiative by keeping its services affordable and also extend education to women in rural communities. “Early detection should be a way of life and not just a campaign slogan; Together, we can save countless lives and give hope to women and families across Ghana,” he said.

Ms. Karolina Slack, Vice President of Sanford USA, noted that the new mammogram machine will make a significant difference in Ghana’s healthcare landscape.

The Regional Director of Health Service, Dr. Robert Amesiya, also described the service as a beacon of excellence in women’s health and preventive care, urging continued collaboration to build a healthier Ghana, one woman, one family, and one community at a time.
