The Member of Parliament (MP) for the Akuapem South Constituency, Lawrencia Adwoa Dziwornu, through her educational support initiative, has provided financial assistance to newly admitted Senior High School (SHS) students.

More than 500 students from the constituency received the support through the MP’s Adwoa Educational Fund as they begin their secondary education journey.

Madam Dziwornu presented GH¢500 in cash to each of the 500 beneficiaries during separate meetings held at her office in Aburi before their departure to their respective schools.

Providing insight into the initiative, the MP explained that the establishment of the Fund is a fulfillment of a campaign pledge she made prior to her election in 2024. She added that the initiative aims to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder access to quality education in the Akuapem South Constituency.

“The Adwoa Educational Fund provided financial assistance to over 500 students. The gesture is another fulfillment of that promise,” Ms Dziwornu stated.

Reaffirming her commitment to education in the constituency, the MP emphasized that it will continue to be one of her top priorities.

“The constituency has several educational challenges, but with God, bold solutions shall be given to each and everyone of them,” Madam Dziwornu underpinned, explaining that Adwoa Educational Fund is designed to support every child to become a responsible future leader without discrimination.

She added, “The journey of tomorrow begins now. The Fund is set up to create opportunities, alleviate poverty, set the path of hope and purpose to transform lives within the constituency.

‘..to succeed, to become breadwinners, influential people and great leaders for mother Ghana,’ the MP expressed.

Parents of the beneficiaries expressed heartfelt appreciation to the MP for her consistent humanitarian efforts and generosity towards her constituents.

They described the gesture as a remarkable fulfillment of her campaign promise and the first of its kind in the Akuapem South Constituency.

The Adwoa Educational Fund

Lawrencia Adwoa Dziwornu established the Fund as an initiative to address and resolve educational challenges within the Akuapem South Constituency.

It is structured to support every child in the area, ensuring that no student is denied access to secondary education due to financial hardship.

Since its inception, the Fund has provided scholarships and stipends to students, supplied educational materials to schools, and offered sponsorships to learners entering universities and nursing colleges.

Additionally, it has supported the renovation of school infrastructure and other educational initiatives aimed at improving learning conditions in the constituency.
