German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier arrives in Accra for a three-day state visit

German President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, arrived in Ghana on Sunday evening for a three-day state visit.

He was received on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) by Ghana’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and the German Ambassador to Ghana, Mr. Frederik Landshöft.

President Steinmeier, accompanied by a high-level delegation, is scheduled to hold official meetings with his host, President John Dramani Mahama, on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the Presidency in Accra.Mahama and German President

The official programme will begin on Monday with President Steinmeier’s inspection of a full military Guard of Honour at the Forecourt of the Presidency.

President Steinmeier and his host, President Mahama, will hold a closed-door meeting before joining their respective delegations for bilateral talks in the Credentials Room.

Discussions are expected to focus on strengthening Ghana–Germany relations, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, technology, and development cooperation.Mahama and German President

A state luncheon will be held in honour of President Steinmeier and his delegation at the Presidential Banquet Hall in the afternoon.
