Legal Practitioner, Halidu Ibrahim (Esq), has described the report presented by Aircraft Accident Investigation Expert, Captain Paul Fordjoe, as satisfactory, particularly commending the clarity and thorough investigation with which the findings were made.

Mr. Halidu expressed concern over the recommendations, stating that the aircraft needed to be retooled.

He explained that the aircraft is not used solely by military officials, as government and private individuals also rely on it, increasing the potential risk due to its frequent use and aging condition.

“This is the time government needs to retool the aircraft because they are old ones, and government officials, military, and individuals also use them,” he appealed.

Speaking on the Angel Morning Show (AMS) on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, he emphasized the need for the recommendations in the report to be implemented to prevent a possible recurrence of such incidents.

He added that there is a need to invest in adequately resourcing the Ghana Armed Forces, particularly the Air Force Unit, stressing that funds linked to a corruption case should be redirected to support the Ghana Air Force Unit.

“We need to channel resources and retool our aircraft in the country, he mentioned. When you look at our history, this is the deadliest aircraft accident,” he mentioned.
