I see Mahama seeking ‘third term’ bid…and he will win – Prophet Roja

Founder of Roja City Ministry International, Prophet Samuel Henry, popularly known as Prophet Roja, has prophesied that President John Dramani Mahama will seek a third term in office.

According to him, Mr. Mahama’s chances of pursuing another term beyond his constitutionally mandated two-term limit are extremely high.

His revelation comes at a time when the President had recently ruled out taking such a step.

Mr. Mahama made the commitment in August 2025 during a bilateral talk with Singapore’s President, Tharman Shanmugaratnam, on his three-day state visit. He stated that he would respect Ghana’s two-term limit for Presidents and would not contest the 2028 elections.

However, barely five months after President Mahama’s announcement, Prophet Roja argues that barring unforeseen circumstances, his prophecy will come to pass.

“I have seen that [John Mahama] is going for the third term and he will win the elections, that is that,” he told Ohemaa Sakyiwa on Angel TV on Thursday, December 4, 2025.

Prophet Roja contends that his prophecy is for the good of Ghana, insisting that Mr. Mahama’s third-term bid will benefit the nation.

“…And it is for the good of the country in a way. However, in another way, there is some rationale behind it; that’s why I said we should wait till I come back again. There is an ongoing conversation, and I have seen that it is almost at a conclusion. Once it is done and dusted, it is destined to happen, and nothing can be done to stop it,” Prophet Roja noted.

When queried about the contradiction between his prophecy and Mr. Mahama’s earlier statement, the man of God expressed less optimism but categorically stated that it is bound to happen by hook or crook.

“If the conclusion of this conversation does not materialize, then we will have to let it be. But still, what has been revealed to me is exactly what we are going to witness. It is ahead of us as a country.”

Prophet Roja advised individuals with presidential ambitions to postpone their plans, as he believes such aspirations will not materialize anytime soon.

“Should what has been revealed to me come into reality, no political party should waste its time. Don’t go for any campaign; just save your money for some eight to sixteen years before you intend to contest, because it would be out of hands,” he said further on the Angel Morning Show (AMS).

He was, however, quick to entreat the general public to exercise restraint until President Mahama officially re-announces his third-term bid.

“That is why I’m saying we should wait until that development is announced publicly. Then I will come out to give a detailed breakdown for Ghanaians to understand it properly.”
