President John Dramani Mahama has donated GH¢50,000 to the family of the late highlife legend, Daddy Lumba in support of funeral arrangements during the final funeral rites held in Kumasi.
The donation was made when President Mahama visited the funeral grounds together with NDC Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia and Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene to commiserate with the bereaved family and honour the memory of the iconic musician.
The delegation expressed their condolences to the family and paid tribute to Daddy Lumba’s immense contribution to Ghana’s music industry.
The gesture was received with appreciation by the family, who thanked the President and his team for the show of support during their time of grief.
