A former chairperson of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Hajia Ibrahim Hussein Hamdatu, believes that every penny under-pressure prophet Bernard Elbernard Nelson-Eshun took from Kennedy Agyapong amid his failed prophecy during the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer race must be refunded.

She presumed that the prophecy delivered by the man of God which suggested that Mr. Agyapong was going to emerge victorious, was nothing but a scheme to extort money from the politician.

Madam Hamdatu accused Prophet Elbernard of taking huge sums of money from Mr. Agyapong, hence the influence of his prophecy.

She further pointed out that she will lead a group of individuals to the residence of the man of God to demand a refund of any token he received from Mr. Agyapong.

“They [Prophets] often takes money from people and give them false hopes with prophecies; I feel that all the money Elbernard took from Kennedy must be returned, we will storm his house and reclaim it,” she stated on Anopa Bofoc morning show on Angel TV.

She expressed her disappointment about the matter and the growing spate of men of God indulging themselves in politics with prophecies, indicating that the prophecy misled and gave Mr. Agyapong false hope.

“The prophecies they [prophets] prophsied Mr. Agyapong were too much, it ate into his head, he didn’t take his time equally. His style of walking even changed, his demeanor and everything about his personality changed. A week before the election, he began goofing off that it was a done deal for him.

“Let me tell you something, that on elections day, things change; so it should be a lesson for people.” Hajia said further on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.

She warned politicians against relying on prophecies to decide their fate during polls, asserting that elections are won with votes and not divinations.
