Mohammed Ahmed, popularly known as Baba Jamal, has strongly denied allegations of vote buying and electoral malpractice linked to the recent parliamentary primaries in the Ayawaso East Constituency.

In a release issued on Sunday, February 8, 2026, NDC Ayawaso East parliamentary candidate Baba Jamal Mohammed said he had taken note of a communiqué recalling him from his diplomatic role over alleged vote buying during the recent primaries.

Baba Jamal categorically rejected the claims, stating that he has not engaged in any form of vote buying or election malpractice.

“I wish to state categorically that I, Baba Jamal Mohammed Ahmed have not engaged in any vote buying or election malpractices and | pledge to avail myself to assist the party i n its investigation into the subject matter anytime,” he noted.
