The Black Princesses held their official training session in Mbombela ahead of their return fixture in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifier against South Africa.

The return fixture will be played on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the Nelspruit-Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, South Africa, with kickoff scheduled for 13:00 GMT.

The Black Princesses will be aiming to overturn the setback from the first leg’s 2-2 scoreline and secure qualification to the next stage of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

Head Coach Charles Sampson spoke ahead of the crucial encounter, expressing confidence in his team’s readiness.

“The focus was on the last step. Pressure is part of it; we’re playing to qualify for the World Cup. Unfortunately, we slipped up a bit in the last game. We are ready; the girls are ready to redeem themselves and win tomorrow and qualify for the next stage.

“The defining moment is still about the last step – utilising our chances. We had so many chances in the first game and didn’t utilise them, so our focus has been there. We also know certain patterns of theirs and how we can stop them from scoring and score ourselves.”

He added “After tomorrow’s game, I hope we have the ticket to the next qualifiers. That’s our goal, and all our focus is on that.
