Gospel musician, Mavis Fordjour popularly known as Mayford Muzik, has opened up about the differences in promoting music within Ghana compared to living abroad.

Speaking in an interview on Y’adwumanie on Angel Fm the singer noted that being physically present in Ghana offers artistes greater opportunities to network, learn, and participate in industry events.

According to her, proximity to key players in the music scene makes it easier to gain exposure and draw lessons from others’ experiences.

“When you are in Ghana, the proximity to people helps because you learn from others and see what is happening around. You have access to programmes you can attend even if you are not performing,” she explained.

Mayford Muzik added that although the internet makes it possible to follow events from abroad, it cannot fully replace the benefits of being present in the country.

She expressed her desire to be more involved in local programs, saying that physical participation would provide valuable experience and visibility for her ministry and music career.
