President John Dramani Mahama has displayed a moment of warmth and humor at massive Good Friday gathering at Black Star Square, casually instructing his standing Aide-de-Camp to sit.
“Oh soldier you can sit down, I’m very safe here, you sit down please,” he mentioned during the Evangelist Dag Heward-Mills’ annual Good Friday Miracle Service held Friday, April 3, 2026.
Speaking to the congregation, President Mahama gestured to his Aide-de-Camp on duty, reassuring him that he was safe among the church members.
“He is doing his job, he wants to protect me but I’m telling him that I’m with my family,” he said.
