The Member of Parliament (MP) for Madina, Dr Lawyer Francis Xavier Sosu, has donated Ghc50,000 to selected churches in his constituency to mark the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

He made the donation during visits across the constituency as part of the Easter celebrations.

According to him, Jesus died so that mankind might be free from sin and learn to forgive one another.

He pledged to continue supporting and serving the people of Madina from the heart, with further development projects and job opportunities.

Hon. Sosu urged the people of Madina to practise forgiveness and to show love to one another.

“My message for the people of Madina is that, they should prioritise the reason Jesus came is to reconciliation and do it for ourselves also reconcile us to God.

“I plead that, Easter is the time to reflect, so that you forgive if someone has done something against you. And also if you know you’ve done something against the person you also ask for forgiveness from the person and the God.

“I will entreat everyone to love each other because love is good, however if you cannot help anyone when they’re hungry, naked and even in prison you can’t support them then what is the essence, that’s why Jesus said we should love ourselves,” he said.
