Tottenham winger Mohammed Kudus could miss Ghana’s campaign at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scheduled for June-July.

The development follows a setback in his rehab from a thigh injury, which may rule him out for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.

Kudus has already been sidelined for over three months after limping out of Spurs’ 1-1 draw with Sunderland on 4 January.

His parent club had initially hoped the former West Ham midfielder would return after this month’s international break, making him available for the club’s final seven matches of the campaign.

However, sources have told BBC Sport that the Ghanaian is unlikely to feature again this season after his recovery timeline was pushed back.

With this fresh setback, Ghana’s poster boy now faces a race against time to be fit for the Black Stars’ World Cup squad.

The tournament will run from June 11 to July 19 across the USA, Mexico, and Canada.
