The Accra Regional Police Command has declared Wisdom Tetteh wanted in connection with the disappearance of 27-year-old Theophilus Ashitey Amarh at Oyibi, Accra.

The announcement was made in a statement dated April 14, 2026, by the Regional Public Affairs Unit of the Police Service.

According to police, the victim left home on Monday, April 6, 2026, to sell his Hyundai Elantra saloon car but never returned. He was last seen at a residence in Saasabi after being invited to meet a prospective buyer.

During a revisit on Friday, April 10, 2026, investigators discovered a suspected bloodstain in the suspect’s room. The scene was subsequently examined by the National Crime Scene Management Team, with support from the Anti-Armed Robbery Unit of the CID Headquarters.

A joint search involving police, community members, and local authorities was conducted in the area, but the victim has yet to be found.

Police intelligence suggests that the suspect may have fled to a neighboring country. The statement added:
“Intelligence further indicates that the suspect has fled the country to neighboring Togo. Efforts are underway, including the initiation of INTERPOL processes, to track and arrest him.”

The Accra Regional Police Command has assured the public of its commitment to apprehend the suspect and uncover the circumstances surrounding the disappearance. They have also appealed to the public to assist with the investigation by providing any information on the suspect’s whereabouts.
