A 42-year-old cocoa farmer, Kofi Assum alias Oga, has been hospitalized after allegedly cutting off his manhood in an attempted suicide at Aworowa in the Techiman North District of the Bono East Region.
According to reports, Assum used a sharp cutlass to sever his manhood and was found in a pool of blood by passers-by.
He was rushed to the Techiman Holy Family Catholic Teaching Hospital, where doctors managed to stitch the pieces together; He is currently receiving medical care.
The incident has left residents shocked.
