The Member of Parliament (MP) for La Dade-Kotopon, Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, has commended President John Dramani Mahama for prioritizing the reconstruction of the La General Hospital.

Her remarks follow the President’s inspection of the ongoing redevelopment project, which she described as a long-awaited intervention for the people of La.

According to the MP, the hospital project has remained a critical concern for residents, and she, together with the Health Minister, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh consistently pushed for its realization in Parliament.

“Your Excellency, we are so excited to see you on site today. This project has been at the heart of the good people of La Dade-Kotopon, and together with the Health Minister, we fought tirelessly in Parliament. Today, the project has seen the light of day,” she stated.

She further expressed confidence in the President’s commitment to ensuring the timely completion of the project, noting that funding assurances given during the visit have renewed hope among constituents.

She conveyed heartfelt appreciation to the President for his support on behalf of the people of La Dade-Kotopon, including traditional leaders and residents.

“On behalf of the good people of La Dade-Kotopon, the Chiefs, and everyone, we want to say a very big thank you for having us at heart. We are grateful. God bless you,” she said.
