It has emerged a letter inviting Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) to recent Public Accounts Committee (PAC) hearing, did not specifically ask for the presence of the Fund’s Administrator.

Chairperson of the Committee, Abena Osei-Asare, had expressed strong concerns over the absence of Fund’s Administrator, Paul Adjei, from a committee hearing..

“The administrator never seems to find time to come. What is the mandate of GETFund? These are some of the most important things they should attend to,” Madam Osei-Asare said on.Thursday, April 23.

She warned; “This is the last time we will take GETFund without the administrator; Ever since the ninth Parliament’s Public Account Committee started sitting, the administrator has never appeared before us and it is not a good sign.”

Angelonline.com.gh can, however, confirm that Parliament’s letter requesting GETFund’s appearance, allowed for them to “…designate appropriate officers with requisite knowledge on the subject to attend and support the committee.”

That suggests GETFund managment broke no rules, as they were acting in line with the committee’s request.
